LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT I want to address the statements being made regarding RCAT and our members, because they are not only inaccurate—they misrepresent the integrity of our organization. RCAT was built on the foundation of promoting professionalism, ethical conduct, and high standards within the roofing industry. We have never been “in bed” with insurance companies, nor have we ever operated in a way that compromises our independence or the trust placed in us by contractors and consumers alike. Any claims suggesting otherwise are simply false. What concerns me most is the attempt to intimidate, misrepresent, or attack RCAT members. Our members work hard every day to uphold high standards, often going above and beyond to ensure homeowners and building owners receive honest, high-quality service. Healthy and honest discussion is welcome, but harassment, attempting to intimidate, public attacks, and baseless accusations do nothing to help contractors or our industry and only causes division. Below is the official link to the licensing bill that RCAT sponsored. Please take the time to read it yourself and come up with your own conclusion. Getting involved is how we continue to raise the bar for our beloved Texas Roofing Industry. If you have genuine concerns or constructive criticism, I encourage you to reach out so they can be addressed, and we can continue to work together to better our industry. This will be my one and only response to these allegations because I believe time is better spent focusing on how we come together to better serve the roofers of Texas.
